Name of the Project: 96 MW Dikchu Hydropower Project.
The Project is being developed by M/s Sneha Kinetic Power Projects Pvt Limited on Build, Own, Operate & Transfer basis and the Government has no equity holding in the Project.
The works of the Project are in full swing and around 60% works have been completed. The State will receive royalty @12% free power for 1st 15 years after commissioning of the Project and @15% from 16th to 35th year, thereafter the Project will revert back to the State free of cost.
Location of Project:
The dam of the Project is being constructed on Dikchu river near Dikchu Gold Mine (downstream of confluence of Dikkchu river and Bakchachu )in North Sikkim. The underground Powerhouse is located approximately 500m upstream of Dikchu town on the right bank of Dikchu river in North Sikkim.
Present Status of the Project:
The Project construction has been completed. The Project has been commissioned in March 2017.
