Accordingly, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said sections of the Electricity Act, 2003, the Sikkim State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SSERC) has constituted the State Advisory Committee and Shri.D.P.Deokota,former Chief Engineer , Government of Sikkim has been nominated as one of the members of the Committee.

Shri. Rinzing Youngda Bhuttia has been nominated as one of the Members of the SAC. Shri Bhutia is presently the Vice President of Pelling Tourism Development Association (PTDA) ,Pelling ,West Sikkim. PTDA is a body comprising of people working in tour/travels/hospitality sector. PTDA not only represents the commercial/industrial consumers of electricity in the State but also the young, energetic, dynamic and highly entrepreneur youths.
